Mike brings a blend of corporate, mid-sized business and non-profit leadership experience to his role as C12 Area Chair.  Having completed undergraduate and graduate studies in both business and theology, Mike began a career with a business unit of the Walgreen Company (Chicago) focused on healthcare strategy.  Having advanced in both operational and sales roles, Mike worked with dozens of Fortune 500 companies, large public sector employers, and regional corporations to manage healthcare solutions.  After seven years with the Walgreen Company, Mike transitioned into a full-time pastoral role with Grace Point Church in San Antonio as the Discipleship Pastor and eventually an executive leadership role as Associate Pastor.  Mike is also VP for a missions foundation with off-shore development projects.  In 2010, Mike launched TQ Strategies, a management consulting firm that assists corporations and state governments with a variety of market strategy and organizational development initiatives.

A year after joining C12 as a member in 2010, Mike acknowledged God’s call to partner with C12 in the mission of seeing business leaders truly “build great businesses for a greater purpose” in San Antonio.  With a passion to see the love of God (Luke 10:27) and worship of God (Colossians 3:23) integrate across all of life, Mike is excited to be part of C12’s efforts in San Antonio.  Mike’s passions include leadership, marriage mentorship, strategic planning, networking, being part of catalytic moments, and helping people discover that every aspect of life is a discipleship platform.

An Alaskan by birth, Mike and his Iowan wife, Jacqui reside in San Antonio with their daughter, Elayna Joy.
